Summer Shine Parent’s Day Out
Summer Shine is a time of games, activities, Bible stories and fun! Each Tuesday will be filled with lessons and activities that incorporate summer fun, Bible fun and playtime at our gym and playground!
This year our Summer Parent’s Day Out Program will be held on Tuesday’s Only from 9:30-2:30 for eight weeks starting June 10th and ending July 29th, 2025. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25th. Enrollment is on a first come first serve basis with classes filling up quickly! Full payment of $200 per child for the entire eight weeks of summer fun is due upon registration. This cost includes registration fee, supplies and tuition fees. You can pay by check, cash or online through the Give-Parents Day Out drop down on the church website.
Parents Day Out 2025-2026
Our 2025-2026 Parents Day Out school year will begin on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Tuition is $160 a month per child. Registration for the 2025-2026 School year for church and community starts Tuesday, April 15th at 9:30 am. Classes fill up fast and enrollment is on a first come first serve basis. There is a one time, non-refundable $75 registration and supply fee paid upon registration and availability.
Mission
The mission of the Crestview Church of Christ Parent’s Day Out Ministry is to help accomplish and extend the ministry of Crestview Church of Christ. These goals are accomplished by providing care and education and by encouraging the development of each child to his/her greatest potential spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially. We provide developmentally appropriate activities, guidance, and a program of ministry and outreach to the families of the children enrolled.
The Parent’s Day Out program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 2:30 in the preschool hallway of the main building of the church grounds. We are a Bible-based Parent’s Day Out Preschool Program. Our classes range in ages from 3 months to Pre-Kindergarten. We use the “WEE Learn” curriculum in our program. We are a play-based, hands-on preschool. A weekly Bible story, theme, letter, shape, and number are taught each week. We follow the Midway ISD calendar for holidays, breaks, and closures.
This year, ten out of thirteen teachers in the Parents Day Out program are members of Crestview. Right now, we have about 4 substitutes teachers—two church members and two from our community—that we can call on when a teacher is going to be out. We are always in need of good substitutes that can be relied on at a moment’s notice.
Enrollment is around 48-50 children each school year. Approximately 80 percent of the children enrolled are from the surrounding community. Each class is divided into age groups determined by birthdate. There are six classes with two teachers per classroom. This coming year, our monthly tuition will be $160 per child. This tuition goes towards teachers’ salaries, supplies, and resources. The director’s salary is paid by the church.
The program provides a safe, caring, loving, and learning environment for both the child and parents and is an extension of the church and its outreach to the community.
