Crestview’s history includes a variety of stories where we tried to serve our neighbors near and far and support efforts of sharing the Gospel.
Crestview’s members have provided financial support for several Texas orphanages for many years. We are currently offering monthly support for two orphanages to help those that are too easily overlooked.
Crestview has also made efforts through the years to support Christian education. This includes hosting concerts by Christian College choirs and performing ensembles from several colleges within our Church of Christ tradition. From time to time, members have also made financial gifts to support Ministry programs at these Christian colleges and universities and the students training for futures in ministry.
On occasion, we become aware of unique mission or service opportunities by non-member, both locally and in other states. For distant events, like devastating fires in Maui, we raised money to aid service workers offering meals and supplies to those experiencing homelessness. Crestview has offered similar financial disaster relief in the wake of hurricanes, flooding, fires, tornadoes, etc. in other regions too far away for more hands–on help. When disasters happen closer to home, we have been able to offer a mix of financial and hands–on assistance. Over the years, we have assembled transportation along with limited demolition equipment and tools to aid in recovery efforts in the wake of natural disasters. This allows us to help in everything from cleaning up destroyed property to limited construction assistance. Many of these efforts have been carried out in coordination with the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Team.
When needs arise in the future, Crestview will try to gather disaster relief teams to help where we can according to our resources and availability.
