Night to Shine is an amazing night to celebrate kids and adults with special needs. The Tim Tebow Foundation began having this Prom 5 years ago. This was our 2nd year to host this event. Once again it was incredible. It is so fun to watch the Kings and Queens and their Buddies go through the night. On the “Night to Shine Waco” Facebook page, there are a couple of pictures of Ray Bottoms and his Buddy Mike Robinson, and it captures the moment he recognizes the UMHB Band by the red carpet. The first picture shows the excitement of seeing his friends from UMHB and the next picture is of Ray waving to the band. From beginning to end, it was an exciting time. Every room available during the night was used in a big way. The Game Room and Karaoke Room were filled to standing room only. The Gym was filled with people eating or dancing. The Crowning ceremony was so moving as the local celebrities walked through the crowd placing a crown or tiara on the heads of every guest. That part has gotten to me the past two years. Of course it takes hundreds of people to make a night like that happen. Thanks so much to our congregation and to this community for stepping up to make February 8, 2019 a Night to Shine.

Next year we will have another Night to Shine on February 12, 2021. Make plans now to join us! It will look different but we are confident it will be an amazing night devoted to sharing God’s love!
