On Sunday, October 7, we took a collection for various mission opportunities. Crestview has long been a church that loves to serve people in our community and around the world. This year the collection will bless Mladen Dominic and his family in Croatia. Mladen is the minister to the church in Varazdin, Croatia. He spoke to Crestview in September about the work and opportunities there. We are happy to be part of his ministry. The Harvest Collection will also go to help with Hurricane Relief. in the past month the East Coast has been devastated by two major hurricanes. We will be sending money to help purchase supplies for those without flood insurance. The Family Abuse Center in Waco is also part of our Harvest Collection. We will be sending money for them to buy clothes for families and supplies for the center. We also will be sending some support to a church plant in the Boston area. They are building a place for a children’s minister to live, and we will be helping with that. Finally the Harvest contribution will helping the Crestview youth group mission trips. The summer of 2019 will see our group go to Croatia and Boston. It is so exciting to have a congregation that responds to the many opportunities around us.
