We believe the Bible teaches that one receives God’s grace by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Christ as Lord, and being immersed into Christ. Baptism is a significant step in the life of a believer. Baptism is not a destination, but rather a launching point on a relationship with Christ. The writings of the Bible give baptism many different meanings. We are baptized for obedience, for the washing away of sins, for submission to God’s mission, to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, to publicly declare our allegiance to Christ, for faith in Jesus, and to be united with the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus.

Here are some Scriptures about baptism we encourage you to study (click on each to read online): Matthew 3:13-17Mark 16:16Matthew 28:18-20Acts 2:36-41Romans 6:1-41 Corinthians 6:9-111 Peter 3:20-22Galatians 3:26-28Colossians 2:12.

Jordan gave 4 messages about baptism called “Fresh Water: What the Bible Says about Baptism.” These messages package much of what we believe and teach about baptism. They are available below for you to view.

Baptisms can take place during or after any assembly (worship service) or at another time that is more convenient.  If you would like to talk to someone about faith and baptism, call the church office or email us.
